5 tips for Teachers

1. Encourage students to walk or bike regularly; to school, activities, or just for fun

2. When students leave school, confirm that children who have helmets are wearing them

3. Know and understand the rules in your community that apply to bicyclists and pedestrians

4. Be a "walking" role model - ride your bike or walk to school if possible

5. Incorporate bike and pedestrian safety into your curriculum
